A 55-year-old Israeli Jewish immigrant experiments with sexual taboos and death midwifery as an attempt to reclaim agency after sexual abuse in her youth. Told in a trio of cyclical chapters, this is the darkly comedic journey of Rina, the “sexually autonomous and death-friendly” Queen Bee of the Luv Hub, a commune in west Los Angeles. As Rina struggles to heal herself from past sexual trauma, three deaths force her to reckon with her shame over the family she left behind in Israel.
